*NOTE: If you already have a previous version when you install DjVu Browser Plug-in 6.1, a dialog box notifies you that DjVu files currently open with another application and asks whether you would like to change this and use DjVu Viewer to open local files. Upon opening a DjVu document, you will be looking at the Viewing Area. Navigate to a DjVu file on the Web by entering a URL in your Web browser.In the Open dialog box, select a DjVu file that is not on your local computer, then click OK Note: If you do not see DjVu files that you know are in the directory, select All Files (*.*) from the “Files of type:” drop-down menu. Drag an attached DjVu document from an e-mail application into your Web browser window.
DjVu documents usually have the extension “.djvu”. Drag and drop a DjVu document from your file system into your Web browser window.To open a DjVu document using a Web browser, do one of the following: By default local files automatically open with the DjVu Viewer*, but if you wish you can view them through a browser by dragging and dropping them into the browser window. The DjVu Browser Plug-in enables your browser to open any DjVu document online or on a network. While the DjVu Viewer enables you to view local DjVu documents (those located on your own computer) without using a browser, a browser is necessary for viewing DjVu documents over a network, such as the Web. Included with the DjVu Browser Plug-in is a new standalone viewer called the DjVu Viewer. There are now two ways to open and view DjVu documents.
